Conversation, ideas and events for parents in Santa Rosa and Sonoma County

Does anyone know of good places to have a 3 year old's birthday party? It will be summer. The park we like is already booked that day and our condo is too small to host people.

My Gym is a great place for 3 year old parties. The kids and parents have so much fun. Two teachers lead the perfect combination of age appropriate games and playtime with obstacle courses, puppets, swings, rides and more.
There is a promo in June too. $25 off plus a free month of classes. Usually $295.

Over on our Facebook page, some of our moms came up with some great ideas. Here's a couple:

Marti Cohen Laskey - In Santa Rosa: www.kidspartycentral.com They are an indoor party place with jump houses, etc...

Jennifer Lyons O'Donnell - Fire station. We visited the Graton fire station then came back home for cake.

Sprout Store - Healdsburg Gymnastics! So fun! And conveniently enough, right across the parking lot from Sprout...but its fun, all on its own, too :)
Thank you Crissi. The gymnastics idea sounds doable.

Thank you Lorna, I'll keep My Gym in mind.

I checked out Train Town in sonoma. They have a couple of options for parties. For $80 you can reserve a picnic site for two hours. No BBQ or alcohol. Or for $14.75 pp they give you a train ticket ($4.75) and two coupons for two other rides pp. Plus they give you corndog/hotdog, cupcakes and a party hat for the birthday boy/girl. You can't find any of this on their website. But they also have a family pack of coupons...that you can find on the website.
There's always Howarth Park. I heard someone had a party at a gymnastics studio in Rohnert Park for tumbling...
I called Train Town and left a message and didn't get a call back. Then I tried email. Still no response. At this point, I'm not too sure I want it there if they can't even respond.

Howarth Park was full for reservations.

I've almost given up, everything is either two expensive for us, or already booked. I'm thinking a nice trip the zoo for just the family might be the way to go until she's a little older.

Thanks everyone for your advice!

yeah, it took them a week to respond to me. they just called me today finally. that's how I got the info. I can give you the direct number if you want it. got to get it from work tomorrow. Or you can just go with the family and buy the family pack. I was considering the zoo as well...

Hello,

We have a couple of out daughters at Pump It Up in Santa Rosa. It's like Kids Party Central but bigger and cheaper. There are options for 1 1/2 hours or 2 hours and the staff take care of all set up, clean up, they even keep a list of who gave what if you choose to open gifts there. They can provide food or you can bring your own. It was a blast even for the adults...big inflatables: slides, obstical (can't get spelling right grr) courses, bounce basketball, air hockey.
