Vacationing on a school day
Labor Day weekend is this weekend, and many of us will be enjoying a 3 day weekend. For some of us, this means the last camping trip of the season. But some vacations, like camping, require more days than the weekend allows. Would you let your child miss a day or two of school in favor of your vacation?

Probably not this early in the school year when the kids and teachers are still getting to know each other. I would later on though as long as no major projects were due or if the kids were missing any tests. No more than two days though. You have to allow for the days when your kids will also miss school from being sick.
Although Disneyland is a much better place to visit when kids are in school. Less crowded.
